Internships with District Courts
These internships help you understand the trial court proceedings and the working of the various courts. These include the magistrate courts, civil judges' courts and the Additional District Judges' courts (inclusive of special courts like those dealing with POCSO cases and SC/ST matters). More than knowing the law, how the presiding officers manage their independent courts is key to understanding how proceedings move in the files and what are the real reasons of pendency.
You need to contact the District Legal Services Authority in order to get an internship. One can intern from 4 weeks to 6 weeks.
One will get to first hand witness the court room drama.
